Business details

Bookings

  • A deposit is required at the time of booking. This applies to all appointments, whether booked online or in the salon.
    thecosmetologist reserves the right to request proof of payment in order to confirm the appointment.
    If the deposit is not received within forty-eight (48) hours of making the appointment, the appointment will automatically lapse.
  • All deposits are strictly non-refundable. Deposits remain valid for a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt.
  • In the event of pregnancy, the deposit may be applied to an alternative treatment of your choice. The deposit will not be refunded.
  • An appointment secured with a deposit may be rescheduled once only. Any further changes will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling made less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled treatment will result in loss of the deposit.
  • Cancellations are accepted exclusively by telephone call or SMS via +32 485 92 54 53.
  • thecosmetologist reserves the right to cancel treatments in cases of non-compliance with these terms, without refund of the deposit.
  • Should you be delayed due to traffic, please notify thecosmetologist promptly via +32 485 92 54 53. Arrivals exceeding fifteen (15) minutes past the scheduled time may not be accommodated, and the deposit will be forfeited.
  • By booking an appointment — online or in the practice — you expressly agree to these terms and conditions and to the house rules. Clients are kindly requested to review all information on www.thecosmetologist.eu prior to booking in order to avoid misunderstandings..
Punctuality
  • thecosmetologist operates according to a carefully planned schedule. Clients are requested to arrive approximately five (5) minutes prior to their appointment to ensure a timely and uninterrupted treatment experience.
Cancellation and rescheduling policy
  • Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to two (2) days in advance without forfeiture of the prepaid deposit.

  • In cases where late cancellation is unavoidable, clients are requested to notify the salon by telephone during opening hours.

  • Late cancellations, rescheduling outside the permitted timeframe, or failure to attend the appointment will result in retention of the deposit as compensation for reserved time.

  • By booking an appointment, the client acknowledges and accepts that unforeseen circumstances may arise requiring cancellation. The late cancellation policy will apply at all times, irrespective of the reason for cancellation.. 

Deposits
  • A deposit is required to secure an appointment and typically amounts to fifty percent (50%) of the treatment price.

  • In the event of timely cancellation, the deposit will not be refunded but will be retained as credit in the client’s file. This credit may be applied to a future appointment. This policy also applies if the salon is required to cancel the appointment for any reason.

  • Failure to attend or late cancellation will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

General provisions
  • thecosmetologist works exclusively with high-quality professional products. While every precaution is taken, allergic or adverse reactions can never be entirely excluded. By booking an appointment, the client confirms having informed themselves in advance of any potential risks — most of which are outlined to the client — and agrees not to hold the treating specialist liable for any adverse outcomes. Any resulting medical or related costs are borne entirely by the client.

  • All treatments are performed strictly in accordance with protocols prescribed by product manufacturers. Optimal results cannot be guaranteed in all cases, as outcomes may be influenced by factors beyond the salon’s control, including but not limited to medication, hormonal changes, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited within the institute.

  • thecosmetologist reserves the right, at all times and at sole discretion, to refuse a client or a treatment. Where applicable, deposits may be retained.

Payment
  • Payment is due immediately following the treatment, using one of the payment methods available in the salon (gift voucher, Bancontact, cash, or mobile payment). Products will only be released once full payment has been received.

  • For certain treatments, a deposit is mandatory. This deposit is requested automatically when booking online, booking in the salon, or upon receipt of an invoice by email. No deposit constitutes no confirmed appointment.

Returns policy
  • For hygiene and safety reasons, all sales of skincare products are final. Returns or refunds are not possible.

Complaints and client satisfaction
  • thecosmetologist guarantees the quality of all services and products. Should you nevertheless experience dissatisfaction or wish to raise a concern, you are kindly invited to make contact so that an appropriate solution may be sought together.

  • All feedback regarding treatments and services is welcomed, treated with discretion, and handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

  • Positive feedback is equally appreciated and serves as a valuable source of motivation. Clients may periodically receive a follow-up email inviting them to share their experience. We would be grateful if you would take a moment to respond!
